Africa's Top Five Black Billionaires

Forbes 2015 ranking of the world's richest people includes 9 black Africans. Nigerian tycoon Aliko Dangote with an estimated networth of $16 billion is the richest person in Africa and the richest black person in the world. His Dangote Group of companies lost approxinately $10 billion since 2014 due to recent decline in stock prices and devluation of the Nigerian currency, Naira.

Mohammed al Amoudi, a Saudi Arabian with significant black ancestry (Ethiopian mother) has a networth of $10 billion in 2015. His major investments are in construction, mining, cement, and agriculture. His businesses span several countries including Ethiopia, Morrocco, Sweden, and Saudi Arabia.
Mike Adenuga, another Nigerian took the third spot of the richest Black African billionaires in 2015 with a networth of $4 billion. His investments are in oil production and telecommunications.
Isabel Dos Santos, the world's richest black woman came in fourth place with a networth of $3.3 billion. She is the daughter of Angola's President, Jose Eduardo dos Santos. Her major investments are in telecomunications, banking, and oil.
Patrice Motsepe, a South African is worth $2.1 billion. He is the fifth richest black African. He made his fortunes in mining, financial services, and sports.
